$55 million to fund land and farm conservation, green development, and jobs in every city and town in Rhode Island.
RESILIENT RHODY INFRASTRUCTURE FUND:
$25M for low-cost financing for infrastructure projects that reduce our vulnerability to climate impacts, including upgrades that address flooding, coastal erosion, stormwater management, and urban greening.
STATE BEACHES, PARKS & CAMPGROUNDS:
$12M for major capital improvements to state facilities. Beyond recreation, our network of state parks drive our state’s economy and help attract new people and businesses.
NARRAGANSETT BAY WATERSHED RESTORATION:
$7M to restore and protect the health of the Bay and its watersheds through projects that improve stormwater management, install green infrastructure, restore streams and aquatic habitats, control invasive aquatic plants, and reduce coastal hazards and flood risks.
BROWNFIELDS:
$3M to clean up former industrial sites and return them into productive community spaces. These projects help revitalize our neighborhoods and create jobs.
FARMLAND PRESERVATION:
$3M to protect Rhode Island’s working farms, enabling farmers to stay in business and keep land productive – which supports our local food system and jobs.
OPEN SPACE:
$3M to protect open space, farmland, watershed, and recreation lands. The funds help preserve critical natural resources while expanding access to locally grown food and outdoor recreation.
LOCAL RECREATION:
$1M to create new and improve existing community parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, and other recreation facilities.
MARINE INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT:
$1M to ensure safe public access to RI waterways by improving existing public boat ramps and floating docks that are at the end of their useful life and beyond minor repairs.
The 2026 Green Bond funds $55 million to protect our water, land, and quality of life across Rhode Island.
